In this powerful interview you will meet Makaylla, a graduate from Pasadena Memorial High School whose Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training prepared her for an emergency no one expects to experience. Through her storytelling, Makaylla walks you through the tense minutes after shooting erupts at a band competition, how she applied her CERT training to save the gunshot victim, and how schools can help teens be prepared for any emergency.
