School Based Law Enforcement Conference
The School-Based Law Enforcement (SBLE) Conference is an exceptional opportunity for school administrators, teachers, parents, and school based law enforcement officers to receive training about best practices in school safety and security. The Center for Safe Communities & Schools has designed this conference to focus on timely and relevant topics related to school safety and security.

The Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program, the pioneer prevention effort founded in Los Angeles in 1983, is going high-tech, interactive, and decision-model-based. Gleaming with the latest in prevention science and teaching techniques, D.A.R.E. is reinventing itself as part of a major national research study that promises to help teachers and administrators cope with ever-evolving federal prevention program requirements and the thorny issues of school violence, budget cuts, and terrorism.

Institute for Criminal Justice Studies
The Institute for Criminal Justice Studies offers a variety of basic and advanced courses including: Crime Prevention, Juvenile Law, Basic School Police, Auto Theft, Investigative Techniques: Missing & Abducted Persons, Sharing Juvenile Records, Advanced Lock Technologies, Alarm Systems, School Violence, Using the Internet to find Runaways and Missing Persons, and Hostage Situations.
