School administrators today face more challenges than ever before. As they strive to offer students the safest learning environment possible, administrators have reached out to the Texas School Safety Center for specific training on school safety and security issues. In response, the Texas School Safety Center has developed the Texas School Administrator Safety Conference (TSAS). This conference, now in its fourth year, is viewed by administrators as an excellent opportunity to learn best and promising practices in areas of vital concern to them.

2010 Texas Safe Schools & Healthy Students Summit

The Texas Safe Schools and Healthy Students Summit is a premier school safety event for our state and features some of the best presenters from around our state and nation.The presentation tracks for the Summit will be Preparedness, Drug and Alcohol Prevention, Violence Prevention, and Mental/Physical Health.This Summit is a partnership among the Safe and Drug‑Free Schools and Communities Statewide Initiative at Education Service Center, Region VI; the Texas Education Agency, Department of Health and Safety; and the Texas School Safety Center.
Texas School-Based Law Enforcement Conference

The Texas School-Based Law Enforcement (TxSBLE) Conference is an exceptional opportunity for school administrators, teachers, parents, and school based law enforcement officers to receive training on best practices in school safety and security. The Texas School Safety Center has designed this conference to focus on timely and relevant topics including: Emergency Operations Planning, Active Shooter Tactical Response, Homeland Security & Your Campus, Gang Awareness/Intervention, Dating Violence, Incident Command System, and Current Drug Trends.
The Texas School Safety Center will continue to conduct the TxSBLE conference track for higher education law enforcement officers. A topic of particular interest to line officers at colleges and universities will be available at each breakout session.
